Tirana, October 31 (Albania Journal) – A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Fier, Albania, on suspicion of carrying out four burglaries at different businesses in the city between October 19 and 28, 2026.
Fier Police conducted an operation codenamed “Precedenti”, during which Y. D., a 30-year-old resident of Fier who was previously wanted for theft, was apprehended and taken into custody.
According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect broke into four businesses during the period and stole cash, two mobile phones and various pieces of equipment, including a security camera server.
Police said the arrested man has a criminal record for theft.
Investigations are ongoing to identify and document any other burglaries that may have been committed by the suspect.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Fier for further action.
